System requirements
From the least that runs Kinetra to the computer that runs every model, on Mac, Windows and Linux. Kinetra makes everything on your own machine, so the graphics and the memory decide what it can make and how fast.

MacAvailable
Minimum
- Chip
- Apple M1 or later
- Memory
- 16 GB
- Free disk
- 30 GB
- System
- macOS 13 Ventura
What it makes: Every kind of video with the fast motion model (LTX 2B) and the fast picture model, one model in memory at a time.
Recommended
- Chip
- Any M chip; Pro and Max chips are faster
- Memory
- 32 GB
- Free disk
- 60 GB
- System
- macOS 14 or later
What it makes: Adds better pictures (SANA 1.5), anime characters (Animagine XL) and the translator, with room for two models at once.
Everything
- Chip
- M Max or Ultra
- Memory
- 64 GB or more (48 GB at the least)
- Free disk
- 100 GB
- System
- macOS 14 or later
What it makes: Adds the big motion model (LTX-2.3) for the Mix and Best choices, where bodies and faces hold together best, and the sharpest pictures.
- Intel Macs are not supported: the models need Apple silicon.
- Apple silicon Macs do not use external graphics cards (eGPU). The models run on the chip's own graphics and its shared memory, so memory matters most.
- With less than 16 GB, Kinetra makes Fast Story videos and hosts with still pictures only.
WindowsComing soon
Minimum
- Graphics
- NVIDIA RTX with 8 GB (RTX 3060 Ti, 4060)
- Memory
- 16 GB
- Processor
- 64-bit, 6 cores
- Free disk
- 40 GB on an SSD
- System
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
What it makes: Every kind of video with the fast motion model (LTX 2B) and the fast picture model.
Recommended
- Graphics
- NVIDIA RTX with 12 GB or more (RTX 3060 12 GB, 4070)
- Memory
- 32 GB
- Processor
- 64-bit, 8 cores or more
- Free disk
- 60 GB on an SSD
- System
- Windows 11, 64-bit
What it makes: Adds better pictures (SANA 1.5), anime characters and the translator, and makes every video faster.
Everything
- Graphics
- NVIDIA RTX with 16 to 24 GB (RTX 4080, 4090, 5090)
- Memory
- 64 GB
- Processor
- 64-bit, 8 cores or more
- Free disk
- 100 GB on an SSD
- System
- Windows 11, 64-bit
What it makes: Adds the sharpest pictures (Ultra), with every model kept on the graphics card.
- Kinetra uses NVIDIA graphics cards (CUDA) with a recent driver. AMD and Intel graphics are not used yet: the models then run on the processor, which is many times slower.
- An NVIDIA card in an external box (eGPU, over Thunderbolt or USB4) works like one inside the computer; models load a little slower.
- The big motion model (LTX-2.3) runs on Mac only for now.

The models, and what they take
Know your own machine
Once Kinetra is installed, Settings › This machine reads your computer and shows how long each kind of video takes on it, which motion model suits it, and how many one-minute videos it makes in a night.
