Help with installing and using Kinetra.
What you need
- A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later)
- macOS 13 Ventura or later
- 16 GB of memory or more recommended
- About 25 GB of free disk space for the models
- An internet connection for the first run (the models download once, about 18 GB)
Common questions
- The first launch takes a while: Kinetra is downloading its models (about 18 GB). Models › First-time setup shows the progress; you can pause and resume.
- “Local engine is offline”: quit Kinetra and open it again. The engine's log is at ~/Library/Logs/app.movyra.kinetra/engine.log.
- A video takes minutes: about one minute of work per second of video. It carries on with the window closed; the queue in the top bar shows where it is.
- Free memory: the memory meter in the top bar unloads the models that are not in use.
- Connect Claude, Codex or Cursor: Settings › AI assistants.
